• Those who are commenting against TR should see this film (it is in Youtube). What a film. Though it was mentioned only Story, dialogue, Lyrics and music was done by TR, it was TR who did actually everything for this film. The producer from Vadakarai village (near mayavaram) put his name as director. But, even after 28 years, I am unable to stop crying myself when I see the film

  Many people, especially hep gals and guys today pass racist comments about tis genious. Widout doubt he is one of the most versatile man in India. A Director, Music Director, Lyricist, Editor, Screenplay Director, Art Director and wat not??? His songs especially Vasamilla Malar, Vaigai Karai Katre, Salangaiittal Oru Maadhu, and many more are gud eg. He has no musical knowledge, but even today we listen to his songs.

    • Vijay T.R is a multi talented artist, he is far more qualified then some present copycat music directors. I still wanted to hear this kind of gems from T.R. but.. :)

    • almost all his films are hits... how about oru thalai raagam or rayil payanangalil??? he potrays all his heroines decently....and an incredible music scorer....he has incredible sangeetha gnanam....my fav. songs in his music are KADAVUL VAZHUM KOVILILE from uyir ullavarai usha, VASANTHAM PAADI VARA from Rayil payanangalil...SPB the great as usual at his best

    • I definitely respect his talent and skills but don't tell me that he portrays his heroines decently, not all, Mumtaz is a typical example. His movies also have a lot of sleaze exhibited by other women.
